Description

You only need 4 ingredients and 5 minutes for the most dreamy Cream Cheese Frosting that’ll hold its shape for all your favorite cakes, cupcakes, and more!


Ingredients

  • 224 g (8 ounces) full-fat cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 226 g (1 cup) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 450 g (4 cups) powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, using a hand-held or stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter and cream cheese together until smooth and creamy, 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add the powdered sugar and mix on low speed until completely incorporated.
  3. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl. Add the vanilla and beat on medium speed for 3-4 minutes until light and airy.

Notes

Storage: Keep refrigerated in an airtight container in for up to 1 week.

Freezer: Store in a resealable freezer-safe bag in the freezer for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator, then bring to room temperature and re-whip before using.
